Enjoy Open Saturday activities, watch planes take off and land, and participate in aviation camps and family events. As you plan your year ahead, mark your calendar for the “Fighting for the Right to Fight” exhibit, showcasing African American experiences in World War II. Located at the Artillery Barracks, this exhibit will run from October 1, 2021, to January 15, 2022. Finally, join us in honoring veterans at the Lough Legacy Veterans Parade on November 6. Every visit to the Historic Reserve supports our mission of community engagement, education, and preservation. Providence Academy Preservation & Renovation

Preserving and renovating Providence Academy is no small task. Our team works diligently to ensure that this historic gem remains structurally sound and visually stunning. From repairing the exterior to updating the interior spaces, every effort is made to honor the original design while incorporating modern amenities.

Removal of Laundry Building and Boiler Plant/Smokestack

As part of our preservation efforts, we made the difficult decision to remove the laundry building and boiler plant/smokestack from the Providence Academy property. While it was a challenging choice, it was necessary to ensure the safety and integrity of the main building. By removing these structures, we are able to focus on preserving the historic essence of Providence Academy.
